Tesla Dent Repair — Precision on Every Panel

Model 3 · Model Y · Model S · Model X · Cybertruck

Tesla’s aluminum-intensive body structure demands a technician who has worked these panels before — not one learning on your car. Joe Garcia has the dedicated tooling and technique required for Tesla’s specific alloys and body construction.

Why PDR Is the Right Choice

Why PDR for Tesla

Tesla’s engineering is precise. The repair approach should match it — no shortcuts, no compromises.

Aluminum Body — Specialized Tooling Required

Tesla uses aluminum extensively across its body structure — lighter but less forgiving than steel. Aluminum requires dedicated tooling and a slower, more deliberate technique. Most PDR shops aren’t equipped. Joe has the specific tools and experience these panels demand.

Body Shop Work Creates a Carfax Entry

Every body shop repair generates a reportable record. PDR generates zero — no insurance claim, no paint shop invoice, no history entry. Your Tesla’s vehicle history stays clean, and that matters at resale.

Tesla Resale Is Scrutinized — Condition Is Everything

Buyers inspecting used Teslas look hard at condition and vehicle history. A clean-history Tesla sells at a measurable premium over one with a body work entry. PDR preserves that advantage entirely.

Technical Reality

Why Tesla PDR Is Different From Everything Else

Aluminum PDR is not a variation of standard dent repair. It is a different discipline — and most shops won’t tell you that until after they’ve damaged your panel.

Model Y is the most commonly dented Tesla — and the most often mishandled

The Model Y is everywhere in the Inland Empire, which means its aluminum door panels see more parking lot dings than almost any other vehicle on the market. And those aluminum doors require patient, deliberate manipulation — not the same motion a tech uses on a Honda Civic.

Aluminum work-hardens under pressure. Force it too quickly and the metal locks in place, making further correction impossible without applying heat — which we avoid near Tesla’s battery and HV components. The right approach takes longer, uses lighter forces, and reads the panel’s response at each step.

A Carfax body work entry on a 2023 Model Y can cost $1,500 or more in resale value. PDR costs a fraction of that and leaves zero record. Joe has tooling specific to Tesla panel alloys — not generic PDR rods, but aluminum-specific tips designed for the exact behavior of these panels.

Aluminum Work-Hardens

Aluminum stiffens under repeated pressure. Tesla’s alloys are particularly sensitive — a technician who rushes the repair locks the metal, leaving a permanent distortion that requires heat to address. We avoid heat near HV components.

Tesla-Specific Tooling

Joe uses tools engineered for aluminum panel work — different tip materials, different leverage ratios, different technique than steel PDR. The wrong tools leave marks that show in direct light and are often irreversible.

No Paint — Factory Finish Preserved

Tesla’s paint is applied to aluminum with specific adhesion chemistry. Body shop repaints never match exactly. PDR never touches the paint — the factory finish remains 100% intact.

Zero Carfax Entry

No insurance claim, no paint shop invoice, no reportable event. Your Tesla’s vehicle history stays clean — which is directly measurable in resale value on the used EV market.

Tesla Aluminum Repairs — Quoted After Review

Aluminum dents are not priced like standard steel repairs. Every Tesla repair is assessed based on panel location, alloy, dent size, and access complexity.

Starting From
$250
for small Tesla aluminum panel dings

Tesla aluminum repairs are quoted after reviewing your photos. Most Tesla door dings and small panel dents fall in the $250–$600 range. Cybertruck stainless panels are assessed individually. Larger or more complex damage is quoted case-by-case.

Your Questions Answered

Tesla Dent Repair FAQ

Common questions about Tesla PDR in Upland and the Inland Empire.

Is PDR safe on Tesla aluminum panels?
Yes — when performed by someone trained on aluminum. Tesla’s panels use specific aluminum alloys that behave differently from both steel and generic aluminum. Joe has the dedicated tooling and technique required: aluminum-specific tips, lower-force manipulation, and a patient approach that reads how each panel responds. PDR never applies heat and never touches the paint — two things body shop work cannot claim.
Will PDR affect my Tesla warranty?
PDR does not affect your Tesla warranty. We’re not modifying any structural component, not touching electrical systems, and not applying heat near any HV component. The repair is purely cosmetic — restoring the panel’s geometry with precision hand tools. Confirm your specific coverage with Tesla if needed, but PDR is universally considered a cosmetic service with no interaction with powertrain or battery warranties.
Can you fix a Cybertruck dent?
It depends on the panel. The Cybertruck’s outer skin is stainless steel, which is extremely work-hardened and does not respond to standard PDR techniques. However, the Cybertruck also has standard aluminum panels in the cab area and interior structure — those are within scope. Send us photos of the specific damage and panel location and we’ll give you an honest assessment. We won’t take a job we can’t complete correctly.
How much does Tesla door ding repair cost?
Most Tesla door dings and small panel dents fall in the $250–$600 range. The final number depends on dent size, panel location, alloy type, and access complexity — aluminum repairs take longer and require specialized tooling, so they’re priced accordingly. Send us a photo via the estimate form and Joe will reply with a specific number within minutes.
